Using Your Own Domain Name to Access Panel and Business Manager
By default, your customers access Business Manager with your provider's domain name. Therefore, they can discover that you are reselling somebody else's hosting resources, and may want to subscribe to your provider's services instead of yours.
To avoid this, you need to set up branded domain name as an access point to the system. This assumes that you:
- Provide the Business Manager administrator with your organization domain name and purchase an additional domain name if the administrator says that you need it. Your customers will see this domain name when Panel redirects them from the Control Panel to Business Manager for authorization purposes.
- Cooperate with the administrator so that your domain names are resolved to the Panel and Business Manager IP addresses. To do this, use one of the following ways:
- Ask the administrator to add your domain names to their nameservers and use these servers as your domain names' DNS servers.
- Purchase the DNS service from your domain name registrar and map your domain names to Business Manager and Panel IP addresses on the registrar's nameservers.
- Ask the administrator to configure the branding for the authorization server.
After you complete these steps, you can find the new URL that is used for your customers' access to Business Manager on the Business Setup > All Settings > Company Details page.
